Camping in Calico

We ended coming home early due to all of our travel partners breaking camp… mainly due to the cold and wind. We would have bee find had we stayed but, all our family was leaving ! Here are some photos. We played some scrabble with Aunt B, Uncle Craig frightened Grace from the window and we spent a couple hours in Calico.

Josh and Lora Sneak Peek

Yet another WONDERFUL shoot at Victoria Beach. Actually, this is the first time I have EVER seen so many photographers at this beach. At one point, there were 4 people with their cameras ! It was beautiful and nice (except for Josh getting doused by a rogue wave) but the real fun began when we left and started shooting in the dark. Below is a quick recap of the day/evening. Filipe Jerry Oliviera’s Promotion

I was asked to join Professor Jerry and his family at his promotion in Gracie Barra Irvine. He was promoted to his 3rd Stripe on his Black Belt and commented that Master Carlos has promoted him all the way up. Amazing. Anyway, here are a couple photos.

2009 Worlds No Gi – Stephen Pesadelo Hall

Stephen Hall (AKA: Steve Austin, Pesadelo, Nightmare) has become a pretty good friend of mine in quite a short amount of time. I was first introduced to him through his blog (http://pesadelotriangulo.blogspot.com) and was immediately intersted in him as a person. He has battled much and is an inspiration to me. 2009 Worlds No Gi – Hillary Duff Williams

Way to go Hillary ! Fresh off here performance at ADCC, Hillary put on quite a show winning her weight and absolute. I did not get to see it but I heard about the 2 hand shoulder throw that ultimately won her match in the absolute. I think someone said it was a MONSTER of a throw!!!
